Nomadic Drone is a small autonomous drone that lands on power lines to monitor grid equipment and conditions using integrated cameras, vibration, and current sensors. A pilot flies it to a target location where it autonomously docks onto the conductor, then operates and recharges itself wirelessly from the line.
